Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received heard from me, or seen in me, put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Sometimes it is hard for me to be the biblical optimist that this passage prescribes. I see life as a many coloured fabric, but here we are told to see it always with the eyes of virtue.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
This verse doesn’t mean that we are not responsible for our lives or it is ok to avoid hard situations. As God’s child, when we believe that verse, no matter what we go through, our hope is in heaven. It gives us extreme strength and relief to go through each day.
Don’t oppress an alien, you yourselves know how it feels to be aliens, because you were aliens in Egypt.
This verse would be kept in my heart and I’m praying that when I meet persons who are out of Father house, help me to be able to see them and send them your words in the idea of this verse.
